Now reviewed on Amazon!

Yes indeed! As well as being available from this website, the Cumbria Way guide can be obtained in some bookshops and from Amazon. Six reviews on Amazon now, five of them giving the book 5 stars. Thanks very much to those walkers for their kind comments.

With this version of the Cumbria Way pack you will receive, through the post, a MyWalkingGuide book. You will also get the accommodation listing and walker’s companion (information booklet) as pdf downloads, as well as the waypoint list: this comes both as a printed list and as a .gpx file for upload into a GPS receiver (for those of you who have a GPS and digital mapping software).

The printed book that is sent out to accompany this pack has 168 pages and more than 100 colour photographs with sketch maps of each section of the route to help guide you along the way. The book is the “standard” walking guide book size (i.e. it will fit in a jacket pocket).

Please note that, for walkers based in the UK, there is an additional charge of £2 for postage and packing. For walkers outside the UK, the carriage charge is £5. (The correct amount is automatically added to the total price at the Checkout stage.)

Please note that the actual book is clearer (at a higher resolution) than the photo below, which is intended just to give you an idea of what the book looks like. Just click on the small photo above to enlarge the image.

What an achievement – congratulations on the walking guide to The Cumbria Way. In over 40 years this is the best and only unambiguous walking guide we have used.
We do not use a GPS and the directions were faultless, with the added benefit of photos which were very reassuring. The trees have not grown too much!
    Best wishes

PS us oldies still have feet and minds that think in miles – it would have been a bonus if these had been translated throughout.

I’ve just completed the CW – a terrific experience! Your Guide was invaluable, particularly for the Ulverston – Coniston section which presents some navigational challenges that cannot easily be resolved by the OS Map alone.

I found the annotated photos particularly useful, especially where the CW waymarks were thin on the ground.

Thank you for producing such an effective and practical guide.

PS I can strongly recommend The Old Rectory at Caldbeck for B &B.

Would just like you to know that I have just walked the Cumbria Way …. With your guide!! It was the most valuable piece of kit I carried, completely clear and so easy! I was by myself and didn’t once have to refer to my map it was so thorough!
Weather was mixed and I had zero visibility from half way up the gill to Lingy hut and onwards past high pike and down into Calbeck but I just walked on the bearings you set in your book and walked straight to all locations with no trouble and not even being able to seem them.
Just wanted to thank you really!
I also found it hugely entertaining!
